The Foundation Flight, Expulsion, Reconciliation is developing a Documentation Center in Berlin on the subject of flight and expulsion. This includes the history of millions of Germans at the end of the Second World War. The loss of one’s homeland is a universal experience, and countless people continue to feel its effects, up to the present day. The Foundation will offer a forum for historical learning, with exhibitions, events, and research opportunities.

Conference proceedings on the history of Danube Swabians in Yugoslavia, 1941‒1955

Together with the Danube Swabian Central Museum, Ulm, the Foundation is publishing its conference proceedings entitled The “disappearance” of German-speaking minorities. A difficult chapter in Yugoslavian history, 19411955. Renowned scholars from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, and Germany present their latest research in this work.
