The Foundation Flight, Expulsion, Reconciliation is developing a Documentation Center in Berlin on the subject of flight and expulsion. This includes the history of millions of Germans at the end of the Second World War. The loss of one’s homeland is a universal experience, and countless people continue to feel its effects, up to the present day. The Foundation will offer a forum for historical learning, with exhibitions, events, and research opportunities.

Eyewitness discussion »Danube Swabians«

Two Danube Swabians – Archbishop emeritus Dr. Robert Zollitsch (Freiburg) and Nikola Mak (Croatia) – spoke about expulsion, new beginnings, and how their origins have shaped their lives to the present.
