Dr Alfons Adam


Alfons Adams, born in 1973, studied history and political science. He completed his doctoral studies in 2008 at the Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf in 2008 with a dissertation on the Prague Germans during the interwar period. From 2008 to 2016, he worked at the  Institut Theresienstädter Initiative and then at Ústav pro studium totalitních režimů (ÚSTR) in Prague. This work resulted in the study “‘The labour question will be answered with the aid of concentration camp prisoners’: Forced labour in subcamps in the current Czech Republic” (2013) and the traveling exhibition, “Lost memory?” (2016). He joined the exhibition team at the Foundation Flight, Expulsion, Reconciliation as a curator in 2018.
